THESES ON WELSH HISTORY PRESENTED BEFORE 1970 THIS bibliography attempts to list theses on Welsh history presented at British and North American universities to the end of 1969. It was compiled not from the theses themselves, but from printed lists of completed theses.1 The theses marked with an asterisk are either Wales or Oxford theses which were not deposited and they have been included as being of historiographical interest. Some of these are to be found in manuscript collections and the manuscript number is given. The figures in the list of abbreviations indicate the number produced at each university. It should be pointed out that many of the London theses included deal with aspects of the history of England and Wales. Theses are usually available on inter-library loan to another university library. A list of loan regulations at British universities is given in Aslib's Index, the current number of which should be consulted. A reference copy of every University of Wales thesis is kept at the National Library of Wales. North American theses can be obtained on inter-library loan in some cases, otherwise Xerox or microfilm copies can be purchased; details of this are given in Dissertations Abstracts.
