The account of the demolition of the famous Llanbradach Viaduct, as related to the author by the late V.C. In outlining the history of many of the older properties in Llanblethian and the lives of some of their inhabitants, the compilers of this history have drawn upon a wide range of documentary sources. Such sources have been greatly enlivened by the reminiscences of some of the older inhabitants of the parish and also by the comments of the nineteenth-century antiquarian, David Jones of Wallington, a one-time resident of Llanblethian.
