Skull: 8 thin fragments of skull vault, up to 16 mm long and 2 mm thick. One petrous temporal is present, the dimensions are small, the internal auditory meatus is round and shallow; it is immature, from a child. 1 fragment of zygoma. Upper Limbs: 1 clavicular fragment, 12 mm long and 5 mm wide. 3 humeral shaft fragments are up to 26 mm long and 15 mm in cortical thickness. 2 pieces of forearm bone up to 22 mm long. Lower Limbs: 1 fragment 37 mm long consists of a complete segment of upper femur from a child. The maximum diameter is 13 mm and cortical thickness 2.5 mm. 4 other femoral cortical fragments. 1 fibular fragment. There are many other pieces of long bone which are too small to assign region- ally. All the long bone has a very smooth external surface and poor concellous development. Conclusion: A child aged approximately 5 years. Animal Bone: One 20 mm fragment of bovine long bone. Find No. H-JC. Total weight 18g. The bones are relatively intact, and show little evidence of crushing. The regional distribution is also highly unusual and consists mostly of teeth, fingers and toes. Skull: one 28 mm fragment of the inner margin of a mandible. Tooth roots: 10 molar, 4 premolar, 1 canine, 5 incisor. Some are charred, none has any enamel crown. Hand: 13 digital phalangeal fragments, including intact proximal and phalanges of a thumb and one other terminal phalanx, epiphyses aie fused. Foot: 3 phalanges, one of which is a terminal phalanx. Conclusion: Mature adult. Sex is probably female on the small dimensions of the phalanges. The appearance of the teeth is characteristic of a cremation process. The intact nature of the phalanges is suggestive of an inhumation though their
