Owen, M.A. FIELD MEETINGS (average attendance 49) Among places of archeological interest visited were Llangibby, excavations at Bristol, Coity Castle and Church, Usk, and the Dan-yr-ogof Caves, Craig-y-nos. DONATION The Section made a donation towards excavations at Coed-y-cwm, St. Nicholas, carried out under the direction of Mr. Eric J. Talbot, B.A., of University College, Cardiff. HONORARY MEMBERSHIP During the session the Section granted Honorary Membership to Mr. Frank Bird, M.Sc., who will long be remembered for his work for the Section over very many years and, of course, for the Parent Society and the National Museum of Wales. OBITUARY Two very serious losses were sustained in the passing of Mr. Edward Lewis and Mr. Arthur Richard, M.A., F.S.A. Both of these members had been stalwarts of the Section, and indeed of the Parent Society, over many years, and invariably gave of their best for the benefit of others.
