Those boys who experience a craving for School Notes will find themselves well catered for ; and we trust and believe the unusually large quantity of these notes has not been supplied at the expense of their quality. Besides the usual accounts of the games, the paper-chase and the debates, we present experiences in camp and country life, a vivid experience of an unfortunate dream, and an authentic ghost story with a somewhat romantic history. This last should have appeared some twelve months ago, but accident and the unscrupulousness of a native servant have delayed its passage from South Africa. Time, however, has not deprived the narration of its value. It is our sad duty to record the death of one of our School¬ fellows, J. Dyer Lewis, whose portrait we issue with this number as an expression of the School's general and deep regret.
