FRIAR'S SCHOOL. I am delighted to find that my old School has obtained so many successes and dis¬ tinctions ol late. The School is. in fact, looking up all round. Its attainments in the athletic field are only excelled by those obtained in the various examinations of which I append a li>t. The members, 1 am glad to say, have risen to 80. and it has the strongest boys' football team in Anglesey, Carnarvonshire, and Denbighshire (barring Rydal Mount School, Colwyn Bay, a boarding school of 100 boys). This is highly significant. In the Central Welsh Boaid Examination held in July last, the following five boys obtained their Honours Certificates in Latn and French :—VV. J. Jones (18). H. King (18), G. H. Walker (16), J. Williams («6), and T. Woodings (17). Seven other boys obtained their Senior Cettificates, and eight others their Junior Certificates, thus making a total of 20 Ceiti fixates, or 27 per cent, on the number of boys at the School. The above boys also won among them in various subjects, twenty-seven maiks of distinction.
