Shocking Gun Accident at Boughrood Station— Charles Davies accidentally shot by Benjamin Newton. January 16th. First Silo Opened in Breconshire by F. W. A. Roche, Esq., of Tregunter. February 7th. Extremely Low Death Rate (the lowest in the United Kingdom) reported in the Urban District of Brecon at the Council Meeting, by the Medical Officer. February 10th. Marriage of Lieutenant R. N. Thomas, the Gnoll, to Miss Lilian Watson Lee, at Llanelwedd Church, Builth. February 12th. Death of Miss Jane Williams (' Ysgafell,") known in literary circles as the authoress of the " Life of Carnhuanawc," and many other works. Miss Williams, who was of the Neuadd Felin family, lived near Talgarth for several years. She died at Chelsea, London, on March 15th, in the 80th year of her age.
