Captain Ernest George Pretyman (C), of Orwell Park, Ipswich, and Riby Grove, St. Aiiingborough, the new member for South-east Suffolk, married in 1894 the Hon. Beatrice Bridgeman, eldest daughter of Viscount Newport. Mr William Tudor Howell (C), the new member for the Denbigh Boroughs, of 7, King's Bench- walk, Temple, youngest son of the Ven. David Howell, B.D., Archdeacon of Wrexham, by Ann, daughter of Mr Powell, born 1862 at Pwllheli, Carnarvonshire, educated at Wrexham Grammar School, Shrewsbury School, and New College, Oxford (B.A. and B.C.L.), and called to the Bar at the Inner Temple in 1887, joining the South Wales and Chester Circuit, is Registrar of the Archdeaconry of Cardigan. Mr Ellis Jones-Griffith (L), the new member for Anglesey, of the Edinburgh Mansions, Victoria- street, S.W., and 3, King's Bench-walk North, Temple, son of Mr Thomas M. Griffith, of Ty Coch, Brynsiencyn, Anglesey, born 1860, educated at the University Uollege of Wales, Aberystwyth, and Downing College, Cambridge (B.A. London and M.A. and LL.B. Cambridge), and called to the Bar at the Middle Temple in 18S7, joining the Chester and North Wales Circuit. Is a Fellow of Downiog College, Cambridge, and late President of the Cambridge Union. Married Mary, daugh¬ ter of the Rev Robert Owen, Mold. Unsuccess¬ ful candidate West Toxteth, Liverpool, 1892. Major Edward Pryce-Jones (C), who succeeds his father in the representation of the Mont¬ gomery Boroughs, is the eldest son of Sir Pryoe Pryce-Jones, of Dolerw, Newtown, M.P. for Montgomery Boroughs 1885-86 and 1892-95, by Eleanor, second daughter of the late Mr Edward Rowley Morris, of Newtown, born 1861, educated at Jesus College, Cambridge (B.A. 1890, M.A. 1893), and called to the Bar at the Inner Temple in 1892. Is a J.P. and county councillor for Mont¬ gomeryshire, was chairman of the Newtown Local Board of Health 1892-93-91, aad was a cap¬ tain in the Montgomeryshire Yeomanry Cavalry from September, 1883 (having passed the Staff College), and retired with the rank of honorary major in May last. Married, 1886, Beatrice, second daughter of the late Mr Herbert Hardie, of Orford House, Cheshire, and Cruwys Morchard, Devonshire. AUGUST 7, 1895. NOTES. Forasmuch as Richard Chomley, esquire, now in ward in the porter's lodge, was ordered, the 15th inst., to put in bonds for the preservation of the King's peace against Randulf Maynwaryng, which, until this day, he has not done, but has kept the bill of complaint of the said Randulf four days without answer, to the contempt of this court; the said Council, learning moreover that Hugh Chomley, the defendant's brother, has been seen at Newport with 26 persons, mounted and armed, riotously assembled contrary to the law, have therefore committed the said Ric. Chomley to the castle of Wigmore. And hereupon a letter to Thomas Crofte, deputy constable of the said castle, to receive and keep the said Ric.
