It is to be hoped that they will endeavour by diligent attendance at practices and reverent and devout behaviour in Church to maintain the prestige of our Parish Choir °f which we are so justly proud. We shall be glad to Welcome back the boys who have just retired on account °f having arrived at that age when the voice is more conspicuous than melodious, when their voices are fully developed. The Church Choral Society will give a Miscellan¬ eous Concert on Wednesday, .December 4th, at the •National Schoolroom. It is hoped that the proceeds ^U be at least sufficient to wipe off the debt remain- lng from the two past years and enable them to take ^P new work free of debt. As they have never asked l0r" outside subscriptions, we may fairly rely on this ^odest expectation being realised. We are glad to see Dr. Vaughan Owen is starting a series of Ambulance Classes for young men. They should prove both attractive and useful, and we wish them every success. Can we not have Nursing Classes for young women ? We are sorry to note the departure of Mr. Broadie Griffiths, who, although not a Churchman was invar¬ iably willing to help, and we shall not easily forget his services in connection with the Bazaar. We wish him every happiness at Aberystwith. Meanwhile we offer a cordial welcome to his successor, Mr. Williams, who is likely to prove a real acquisition as a church- worker. A Rummage Sale will be held in the week before Christmas. Any contributions shonld be sent to Miss Thomas, The Woodlands, who has kindly undertaken the management of the Sale, or to Mrs. Jones, The Vicarage. Proceeds towards the National Schools.
