♦ ptrpOTM dot&p nWCrJBfflJi ♦ No. 12&. Vol. XII. DECEMBXR, 190J. Price One Pen*' LLANIDLOES. On Thursday, November 1 Oth, a special service was held in Church for the members of the Llauidloes Branch of the Mothers' Union- After making an allowance for the inclemency of the weather, the Service was well attended. Though, no, doubt, the heavy rain which fell ju?t before the Service, kept some, who would like to be present, from attending. The Rev T. Llewelyn Williams, Rector of Machyn¬ lleth, gave a very instructive address, taking as his text the words '• Let them learn first to show piety at home" (I Tim. V,4). It is to be hoped that tho mothers' will follow his advice, and train up their children in the way they should go, and teach them by putting a good example before them at home. We hope to have a lantern entertainment early in January, 1905, for the Members * of the Mothers' Union. The Rummage Sale will be held sometime before Christmas, at the National Schools. Doors open at 7; pjo. Admission 2d. The date has not yet been finally fixed. Probably it will be as usual, on the Monday before Christmas (December l9tb). Posters will be issued in good time, to let all know the exac date We hope that it will prove more attractive as well as more lucrative than usual this year. The programme will be fuller and more varied tha:; we have had it for many years, and we hope to intr > - dure several interesting and novel competition- Articles of any description, old or new, large or small are asked for. Anything and everything will be ■ f" use in the Rummage Sale, even a " white elephant " if anybody has one to spare. All who have so kindly helped in the past are earnestly requested to com;* forward, and put their shoulders to the wheel, this year again. Contributions may be sent to tho Vicarage at anytime, or to the National Schools on the afternoon of the Sale. The Band of Hope has now been affiliated to the C E T S We are glad to say that many parents haw given their consent for their children to take thr Temperance Pledge.
