C.E.T.S Picnic—At the meeting of the C.E.T.S. held on Monday, June 1st, it was decided to have a picnic at Llandinam on Wednesday, June 17th, each member being allowed to bring two relatives (parents, children or brother or sister), the tickets being 4d. for members and 6d. for visitors. The meetings are discontinued until the first Monday in September. There was a very respectable attendance. On May 10th Mr. Rees exchanged duties with the Vicar of Carno, who took all the services here and in the evening had a prac¬ tice for the Choral Festival, of which he is the conductor. We hear nothing but praise of him in every capacity. A meeting was held in the National Schools on Wednesday, May 20th, when it was decided to hold the Annual Garden Fete this year at the Vicarage on Wednesday, July 15th. Any contributions for the stalls of plain or fancy work, flowers, fruit, poultry and produce, as well as towards the tea, will be much appreciated. Collectors were ap¬ pointed and will no doubt soon be on the scene. There was a good attendance and tea was given by the Vicar, who has to thank Miss Jones, the Close, for so successfully catering. At the Bible Society's meeting this year on Monday, May 25th, we had a visit from the Rev. H. A. Raynes, the Home Superintendent, formerly Vicar of St. Saviour's, Nottingham, who gave a most admirable address. Readers will kindly note that on June 7th, being Whit Sunday, there will be Holy Com¬ munion at 8, 9, 10 (Welsh) and mid-day. BAPTISM. May 3 1st.—William Edward Morris. LLANGURIG. The Services on Good Friday were exceed¬ ingly well attended, and Easter Day was also well observed. The collections, which amounted to £5 lis. 3d., were given to the Vicar, who desires to thank his people for their kind offering. We offer our sincere sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Davies, Blue Bell, on the death of their little boy, who passed away on his fifth birth¬ day. " Dyn pwl sy'n meddwl am oes, Duw a ran hyd yr einioes."
