John Bellingham was brought up in a counting-house in London, and afterwards went to Archangel, where he lived three years with a Russian merchant. Having returned to his native country, he married an admirable young woman—a Miss Nevill, the (laughter of a respectable merchant and ship- broker, who, at the time of Bellingham's union with his family, lived at Newry, but who subsequently removed to Dublin.
